This project would work in two parts. One to manage the list of attendees (usually via a csv file). The other a native iOS App. Before the event, the csv would have to be uploaded to the server and then downloaded to the App. This was done through a series of interfaces.
Once the download is complete, the device did not need internet access to check-in attendees, or register walk-in attendees. It just needs a linked Brother label printer to be able to print the ID of the attendee. All data stored to the device will sync with the off-site server if it has internet connection, or if the Wi-Fi is spotty or not availablem, it will sync next time it has a connection. A manual sync can also be triggered.
