RedCAT's Portal tool allowed an employee to access their own historic payroll information. Like all RedCAT tools it access the client's own authentication (often Okta) and whitelist IPs to grant base access.
As a bespoke solution, there was extream variable in client requests. Some clients wanted a simple single page add on to their preexisting Compensation Management tool. Others wanted a stand alone tool with multiple pages that you needed specific permissions or compensation types to access.
In one case a client wanted the ability to track stock prices, calculate expected equity, and give the employee the ability to view what equity would look like with an inputed stock price. This was a massive undertaking as we needed the actual stock information (price when bought, date vested, etc, etc) to run the calculations daily (when a new EOD stock price was added), or on command as the employee played with future stock prices.
A custom import was needed to handle the massive amount of equity information required to run the calclulations daily. Or add new equity information as it came into existance. There was a second import/export created for eaze of updating stock prices and moving stock prices between production/develop/qa/local enviroments.
